Favorite Gluten Free Brands!


Udi's-  Best gluten free bread out there! Usually you have to toast GF bread but Udi's you can eat without toasting.  Closest thing to real bread you'll get outside a restaurant!

Glutino- They make an assortment of bars, crackers, cookies and other goodies.  So good, tastes like the real thing!

Scharr-  Scharr is great.  They make awesome pizza crust and pastas.

Freschetta- This brand makes the best gluten free pizza you're gonna get outside a restaurant.  They use gluten free pepperoni and other toppings that you can't find in other brands.  Definitely worth getting.

Applegate- If you like breakfast foods a lot, definitely buy Applegate's products.  You will get great bacon and sausage and you will not be missing anything at all.  Also their turkey hotdogs are 1 PP and amazing.

KIND-  Who doesn't like a Kind bar?  They taste awesome even for people who aren't celiac.  They are usually around 6 pp and good for a lunch replacement on the go.

Quest-  Same as above.  Quest is amazing.  Nothing else needs to be said!

Betty Crocker-  If you like your sweets, check out Betty's dessert boxes.  Better than any other dessert box out there. She's still the best.


Brands to Steer Clear Of!

AMY'S - If you don't have celiac disease, Amy's is awesome, food tastes great.  Lots of Variety.  But they are not processed in a gluten free facility.  So many times has this lady has glutened me.  It's cool Amy, I'm over it.

Well hey! How have you been? It has been way too long, probably why I gained 30 pounds back. This post is all about brutal honesty, because I need the hard truth right now. I have been on this journey for let's say over 5 years now. I did weight watchers, went to weekly meetings, hit my goals, and ended up as a lifetime member even losing 15 pounds under my goal. I was on top of the world. I was feeling myself. Then this thing called life happened. I transferred colleges, had less time to meal prep, all while working full time. I had like no down time to stay active, plan my days out. This was when it started spiraling down. I ended up graduating 15 pounds heavier then when I started at Temple. Well, it's been awhile. I can honestly say I was pushing through hell for the last 7 months. With Senior Year and working 2 jobs, I barely had time to function. But the end is near and graduation is around the corner with a full time job offer. So exciting times ahead! I have to say I seriously struggled over these past months and I have really lost sight of what is important. Me. I forgot how to love myself and respect my body and my needs. Before this I worked my way down to the 120s by eating right and getting my workouts in. But over this stretch of time, I really started struggling. It would be harder to find time to pack my meals, and I would call and order daily. I wouldn't get time to workout because I would feel overwhelmed and exhausted by the time I got home every day.
