Weight Watchers: The 1st Month
After the first successful meeting, I really felt motivated to work hard and achieve my goals. I really wanted to be able to set a goal weight for myself but I had to hit 5% weight loss. I had 28 PP to work with. Working together with my mom, we thought of meals we could eat each day and started meal planning. The day started with a chocolate PB2 protein smoothie which was 4 Power Points.
To make it you combine: 1 cup silk chocolate soy milk, 1 cup ice, 2 Tbs of PB2 (whichever flavor), and 2 oz of pears and a banana.
This was a great way to start the day, because it kept me full for long. A snack during the afternoon before lunch would be either an apple, or Glutino bar which was 4 PP.
Lunch varied depending on if I was at school or work. If I was at work, I would have chicken and rice, for 8 PP.
Brown or White Rice for 5 PP , Sautee 2 oz of chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder until cooked, for 2 PP, when finished place 2 cups of water in pan and 3 tbs of soy sauce for 1 pp. Broccoli for 0 pp on the side if you wish.
After work or school was finished I went to a class at the gym, either Zumba or Yoga depending on my mood. After that was finished, I headed home for dinner. I switched between a stir fry, grilled chicken parm and fajitas. I have the recipes for all three if you wish to see them!
My first week was successful. I was determined I stuck to my guns and worked really hard and went to weigh in the next week. I had lost 4.8 pounds. I was so ecstatic, I can remember the feeling I had perfectly. It was a cross between pure joy and determination to have this feeling all the time. I always wanted to feel this good. This was the first moment that I actually started feeling good about myself. I was starting to appreciate myself and I felt love that I hadn't felt in a long time. This was a feeling that I wanted to stick around for a long time. The month went on and I stuck to my guns and ate my meal plan and it was working! Over the course of the first month I lost 13 Pounds and my amount of PowerPoints went down from 28 to 27. It was working and I was loving seeing the results on my body. I was changing and my dreams were becoming a reality.
