Picking a Workout You Like.

Sometimes the last thing we want to do is workout.  We had a super long day at work or school, and pretty much just feel like crashing on the couch and watching Netflix.  I mean at least that's how I feel. I just wanna cuddle up with the bf put on a B rated comedy movie and chill.  But sometimes the more rewarding feeling is getting your ass up and out of your sweats and to the gym.  I know that I have a designated two workouts that I absolutely love, and then I have a few that I force myself to do.

Yoga, I live by.  Not only is it a great workout, but it relaxes your mind and releases so much stress. I oftentimes do yoga when I am having a bad day, because I know it will lighten my mood and my stress for the present moment will be lifted. With yoga, you can see some great results as well. The toning that it does to your body is great. When I start to see a problem area, I work harder on that spot in yoga and within a couple sessions, I see results. Pilates is also great for problem areas, it's just a more intense workout.

The other workout that I get hype over, is Zumba.  I mean who doesn't love to shake their ass and look like an idiot doing it?  I know I do. It's the one place I can dance and not give a shit who's looking. Plus it is so much FUN.  Dropping it like its hot and having nobody care is pretty amazing.  Plus the calories that you burn in a session is pretty incredible. The music is great, too.  This is the once place you can jam to PitBull and not get judged. Yea, I like PitBull, whatever. I even bought Zumba fitness for the Wii, and it tracks your progress and your journey on there as well, which is pretty cool.

Then there are the good old fitness machines.  I can't really stand sitting, or walking on a machine.  I try to do it, and make it like 10 minutes until I am bored and start hitting major ADD. Some people like it and that is great for them, but everyone is different.  I need a little spice in my life. Or a pretty walk in the park, and I need things to look at when I am working out.  If I am just doing one continuous movement while starting at my phone, I will probably go nuts.  I need variety in my life.

No matter what is your workout of choice, just get out there and kill it.  Pick how many workouts you wanna do at the start of your week, and set goals for yourself. That way you have a plan and can stick to it. Do what fits you best.  Don't strain yourself or force yourself into something that isn't comfortable for you.  I love dancing but hate walking on a treadmill.  They're both cardio, so spice it up a bit. Do what makes you happy and satisfies your needs.
